Press Shop worked with Brian Klaas, a fellow at the London School of Economics and the author of THE DESPOT’S ACCOMPLICE: HOW THE WEST IS AIDING AND ABETTING THE DECLINE OF DEMOCRACY, to line up press for his book. Klaas had 60k followers on Twitter and appeared regularly on TV and radio in the UK, but until he hired Press Shop, his book hadn’t received any media attention in the US. We knew we could get some great coverage for this one, especially with the news headlines post-2016 election underscoring the book's main argument daily.
Within a couple of weeks of signing with Klaas, we landed a book-focused segment for him on Morning Joe on MSNBC. We also lined up TV segments on Bloomberg Surveillance and The Tavis Smiley Show and radio segments on the WNYC's The Brian Lehrer Show and KERA's Think, PRI's The World, among many others media spots. Klaas was invited back to Morning Joe a couple of months later, which led to appearances on AM Joy and The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell.
