Book Publicity Strategy Sessions

We help authors promote their own books as effectively as possible by offering up our extensive media experience and book-world know-how during one-on-one publicity strategy sessions. During these calls, Leah offers personalized guidance and an actionable DIY plan to help make your book launch a success.

You will find these strategy sessions helpful if:

  • you plan to take a DIY approach to publicity but need some expert advice

  • you want to get prepared for launch before your publisher’s in-house publicity kicks in

  • you feel a bit bewildered by the book publishing process and want extra support

During two 45-minute sessions, Leah will answer all your questions and offer specific and actionable advice on lining up media and events for your book. Among the topics she can cover:

  • how to explain/pitch your book in the most compelling way possible

  • the publicity timeline--what you should be doing and when

  • how to work most effectively with your in-house publicist

  • things you can do to help line up media (and things you shouldn’t do)

  • how to break through in today’s news environment

  • how to set up book events on your own

  • how best to use social media to support the book launch

  • advice on making your website as strong as possible


    Details & Cost

  • We spend 2 hours reviewing your book and the accompanying materials, your website, etc.

  • Two 45-minute sessions conducted via phone or Zoom (scheduled within 30 days of each other)

  • A one-page action plan delivered via email after the second call

  • One 15-minute follow-up call (scheduled up to 2 weeks after session #2)
